Ryukyu Mura

We visited Ryukyu Mura this week.

It is a replica of an Ancient Okinawan Village,

where among other things, they hold parades that incorporate traditional dances and ceremonies.
Sara and Georgia even got picked to participate!
Can you see them in there?

I'm not sure that we learned all that much considering most things were written in Japanese, and we were the only Americans there, but we did have a lot of fun!

And we decided to get into the mood by dressing pretty "Traditional" ourselves!

On our way home, we stopped at anything that looked interesting...
it's amazing what you see when you're not in a rush...
A Little area where they sell blown glass
We happened upon some castle ruins

One of the biggest Shisas I've seen
and Okinawa Hollywood....

who knew?!
