Overwhelmed... and Okuma

I have been trying to keep the blog updated, but we have stayed so busy that time has certainly gotten away from me! Throw in the earthquake and tsunami warning, and a birthday... and I'm over a week behind with so many pictures to share, memories to record, and little to no time to do it in!
These next few posts will be short and sweet...starting with our trip to Okuma.
We packed our bags last Tuesday morning and headed up to Okuma beach for Georgia's birthday week.

The weather was gorgeous and gave us plenty of chances to enjoy the outdoors.
We rode bikes and played Putt-Putt golf...

We built sand castles on the beach and had smores...

We played and hiked too.

Our timing was perfect, because the day we left it was cloudy and we were heading straight to the Aquarium to enjoy a variety of fish from indoors!

I think my Mom and Dad enjoyed themselves and I know they fell in love with the beautiful beaches. Making reservations this time of year gave us the beach to ourselves and it was great to just enjoy the weather and each other's company!

Bios on the Hill

This morning we went to Bios on the Hill, an adventure/forest park, not too far from our home. There were gardens to enjoy,

with the most beautiful orchids,

and lots of activities to enjoy.

The kids fed and walked goats,
or should I say the goats walked the kids...lol!
and swung on giant swings,
and tried stilts...

I say "tried" because not one of us was able to get up and walk past a step or two, but we laughed...hard!!
My dad wondered why these Japanese people would be taking pictures of roosters, so I took one too... enjoy the Japanese roosters!

There were games and puzzles for us to play and the kids had a blast at the parks!

The last thing we got to do was a Boat Tour. It was 100% in Japanese so we just enjoyed the scenery and laughed hysterically at the tour guide , who we assume was singing as part of his presentation...so funny!

Cape Maeda

Today we decided to show Mom and Dad what makes this island a paradise...

The COAST!

We went over to Maeda for a little hike.

This area is very popular with divers and surfers,

so the kids had a good time climbing the rocks to look way down and spot them in the water.

After all the rain, the weather couldn't have been better,
and it made for some great, sunny pictures!

Having a Great Time...Wish you were here!

Fun, Games, and Massages?!

We went to Round One for some big fun on Saturday morning.

We played games, went down big slides, skated and more...the only problem was that we were having so much fun...no one was taking pictures, so there were few to choose from.

In the midst of it all, Grandpa found time to take a break in one of the many massage chairs...I think we're wearing him out!!

Not Too Grey to Play!

After a quick breakfast and more rain...

and despite the gray day,

we were off to play at Araha Beach

YAY!
