We're in Okinawa...

I know that I never posted these when we were actually staying in the WestPac Lodge, but I wanted to make sure that we posted the pictures for this part of our journey...

This is the view from our room (on the 4th floor)

Saying our Goodbyes

Wow, what an adventure we've been on since leaving our home in Virginia a few weeks ago.
We had such a great time visiting friends and family in Tennessee, Georgia and Texas. It was awesome to seeing and spending time with everyone...how belssed we are to have such amazing people in our lives! Thanks to all who opened their homes, and provided meals, entertainment and warmth as we made our travels. We leave in the morning, heading to Dallas, for our last 2 days in America before our big move. We welcome you all to our home in Japan, realizing that only a few will may have the opportunity to make the journey. Our memories from the past few weeks will get us through the next few weeks, and we ask that you keep us all in your prayers. God Bless you and Semper Fi!

These little cookies had us loving them before we even opened the package. They were little cookies with cute pictures drawn on each one and as you can see, they had chocolate in them...need I say more?! We ALL loved them!! Luke even enjoyed the pictures on the cookies before he ate them. Hmmm, cute puppy...MMM!!

So...
a wondeful family, who we look forward to meeting this summer in Okinawa, sent us a package this week to give us a little "taste" of what we can expect in Japan. As you can see it was filled with great resources like magazines & newspapers, and then had funthings like chopsticks, candy, gumm, and yummy snacks! Every evening after dinner I let the children pick out one snack to try. So far we've liked most of what we've tried (some definitely more than others) and we're about half way through!

We thought these were going to be like cheetos, but they were crunchy, coffee tasting lttle treats that the babies and Wade enjoyed, but everyone else passed on after trying 1 or 2...

My Girls weekend in Tennessee was wonderful; I thank God for each one of these amazing women every day! As you can see by my eyes in the picture...sleep is over-rated when you only have 3 days with your Gs! Love you Girls!!
