Thanksgiving was a good day with all types of food, desserts, and non-alcoholic drinks. There was plenty of conversation, about the families that we missed, and we still managed to get a little bit of work done.
As I take a few minutes to think about the things I am thankful for, I realize how much God has blessed me over the years. Here are just a few of those things:
1. I am married to one of most wonderful women on the planet.
She is a Godly woman who is beautiful, caring, always loves her family (even when we don't deserve it), is full of wisdom and grace, and has a smile that can make me happy, no matter what I am going through.
2. Sara: One of the most naturally talented people that I have ever met. Her ability to pick up and master any hobby, musical piece, or sport, is amazing. The Lord has blessed her with beauty, smarts and talent.
3. Jackson: I am so proud of this young man. He has a heart of gold and a grace that can only be attributed to our Lord and Saviour. Without a doubt, he will become the type of man that I can only dream of being.
4. Georgia: My little sweetheart who always makes me laugh, even when she is naughty. Georgia is not only academically intelligent, but is full of street smarts. She is a funny little sister, and an awesome big sister, who always protects her little brother. A true Mini-Erica
5. Luke: Although it's too early to tell a lot of his personality, it is obvious that might have too many of his daddy's characteristics. He is an amazing young man who with the help of God, Erica, Sara, Jackson, Georgia, and me, will most likely become a World changer.
6. Last but not least, an amazing God who loved me enough to give me a wonderful family for our time on Earth, and who sacrificed his son so that I could spend eternity with him and those that I love.
Happy Thanksgiving.

Ch-Ch-Ch-Changes (alt. title: Braces- phase 2)
This was my "little girl" two days ago...
She got her haircut yesterday....
and went into the Dental Clinic today for Phase two of her Braces plan...Teal blue brackets.
She came out looking like a young woman!!
How does that happen??!
I used to want to stop it, but not now...
No, at least, not today.
Today, I just kinda want to slow it down...
so I can enjoy it!

Wednesdays with Wade Week 14 in Kabul
Well, it's been 2 weeks since my last post.
It has been very busy and time continues to fly. I passed the 55% point of my deployment and now that it's downhill, I can't help but be a little excited. I won't write a lot this week, since there's not much going on that isn't classified. I did make it over to another base last week as we did a farewell to 2 of my Army Brothers who left Kabul for a location out West. We said goodbye to them at a Thai Restaraunt. It was a little pricey, but I make danger pay, so let's just say that I used that money to pay for dinner. Here is a picture of my lemon chicken and my 2 friends that departed.
'Til next week.

Wednesdays with Wade Week 12 in Kabul
Wow, it has really been a busy week here.
I am doing well and all things are good.
The reality of losing 25% of our manpower in a week finally caught up; However, I think that we are adapting well, and should have things on track by this time next week.
I started a the Truth Project in Bible Study this week.
This is actually the 3rd time that I have started it. I am hoping I will be able to complete it and get what God has in store for me, out of it. I have to ask for prayer in helping me stay focused on Godly things and not get wrapped around the daily pressures of meeting our Worldly demands. In other words, the ability to accept a few mistakes and missed timelines for myself and those who work for me.
Halloween at NKC was rather entertaining. We actually had people dress up in full costume.
We had a hotdog, Yoda, a cowboy and a few masked people who delivered candy to the offices, instead of the traditional trick or treat. Next week is the Marine Corps Birthday. We are going all out with a traditional cake cutting ceremony. I am in the sword detail, that has no swords, but I will try to get someone to take a few pictures to post next week.
Well that's all for this week.

It's LaLa Loopsy!
When Georgia's LaLa Loopsy Doll arrived, I just couldn't wait until Christmas to let her see it. I know, I'm weak!! Instead, I told her that Wade had sent her a package, and she opened it as soon as she got it home from the Post Office!
She was beyond happy!!
This is the e-mail she had me send her Daddy:
Daddy,
I want to tell you in the night, that I got a package and inside is Pillow Featherbed.
She is my La la Loopsy that no one could find.
Even Grandma tried, but she couldn't find it.

and I like my La La Loopsy and her clothes are soft.
Thank You, Dad...i love my La La Loopsy
