The Rainy Season

Well... I have been informed that this is the rainy season in Okinawa.
It has been raining for a couple of weeks, giving us, on average, about one, maybe two, sunny days a week.
Apparently this is going to go on for a couple more months as Typhoon Season goes from June 1 until November 31st.
It's getting to be a little much, with all of us stuck in the house and all, so I thought I'd post more pictures from our sunny day at the park....

Ah, Nice... That's much better!

Of Mice and Men... Look Who's Ten!

The sweetest, most sensitive;
Thoughtful and thankful;

Ten Year Old I know.

Always different...

unknowingly and hysterically funny.

Faithful and Fun
A Boy truly Set Apart by God...
To See Life through his eyes....
How wonderfully simple and good!

So proud to be his Mom,
So anxious to see his future unfold!

Happy 10th Birthday Jackson...I love You!

G is for....

Georgia...

and Gigantic Grasshopper!!

Whoops, There Went the Weekend!

It's already Wednesday and I am just now getting a chance to post some pictures from our weekend.

SATURDAY we went to White Beach.

It was so much fun.
When we got there we played and enjoyed the beautiful day.
We noticed a big group of Marine swimming over to one of the smaller islands off the coast and thought we should try that sometime.

Little by little the Tide went out and at a one point, it was so low that we decided to venture over to the island ourselves.

The tide had gone out so quickly and there were creatures left in all the little tide pools and puddles, and it was amazing to watch them in action.
I had video of this starfish trying to make it's way back into the water, and tried to post it here, but I couldn't get it to work...

When we got back to the main island, we played a bit at the parks,
(Lor-Lor, this picture of Georgia "surfing" on the turtle is for you!)
and still made it home for naptime!

It still amazes me that we GET to live here!

SUNDAY was the big kids last piano recital with Mrs. Sarah, who is PCSing to Quantico.

This group was lucky to have her,
and we'll miss her so much...
her work with our kids has blown us away!
