Cape Maeda

Today we decided to show Mom and Dad what makes this island a paradise...

The COAST!

We went over to Maeda for a little hike.

This area is very popular with divers and surfers,

so the kids had a good time climbing the rocks to look way down and spot them in the water.

After all the rain, the weather couldn't have been better,
and it made for some great, sunny pictures!

Having a Great Time...Wish you were here!

Fun, Games, and Massages?!

We went to Round One for some big fun on Saturday morning.

We played games, went down big slides, skated and more...the only problem was that we were having so much fun...no one was taking pictures, so there were few to choose from.

In the midst of it all, Grandpa found time to take a break in one of the many massage chairs...I think we're wearing him out!!

Not Too Grey to Play!

After a quick breakfast and more rain...

and despite the gray day,

we were off to play at Araha Beach

There's Family on Our Side of the World...and RAIN!

After their long flight, my Mom and Dad made it safely to Okinawa on Tuesday night. The kids' smiles could not have been bigger Wednesday morning when they woke up!

The weather hasn't been cooperating, or has been perfect, depending on how you look at it.

Cold and rainy in Okinawa means not too much to do outside, but it's perfect for hanging out and just spending time together.... So that it what we've been doing, catching up and playing before we head out for all the sights there are to see during their 3 week visit, and resting... there's been lots of resting on their part...lol!

we've also done school and church,

had heated Wii competitions,

eaten yummy food...

...but tomorrow, we're going to brave the elements, and head on out!

Did I mention that our Wii competitions get heated?

Painting the Playroom

A neighbor pulled this out of her storage closet when I said I was looking for a "blue paint" for our playroom.

It was the perfect color, BUT there was less than half a gallon left!

So...I used an entire roll of masking tape.

And one naptime later, we had creatively "dressed" up our very tiny playroom!

I LOVE what a little paint can do for a room and now I can't wait to put the finishing touches on it!
